It might be over but the photos are yet to be revealed

So far we have counted over 1200 photos have been taken. It will take a while to sort, cull, giggle and sigh over them. And then it will be time to view the video.
But we promise to get them up for all to see, somewhere, somehow, soon.

The aftermath...

Well now is the time that I should be posting something incredibly witty, funny and charming about how it was the party of the century, the night of my life, the best possible time I could have imagined and regaled tales of hilarious fun and frivolity that was had. Except I am now forty. And it is taking me a long time to recover.
So until my brain cells stop spinning all over the place, my eyes manage to stay in their sockets and feet remember that they are for walking...this will have to do.
Promise to post again soon and upload some of the finest pics from the evening.
Thank you to all for helping me celebrate my 40th and making it simply the most wonderful evening of my life.

Ice Ice BABY

I'm getting old....

I don't know whether or not the actual event of turning forty is going to be as draining as organising the actual party! And I'm not even doing most of the work!

The lovely Lindy is organising the actual night itself - making sure that there will loads of lovely things for us to eat and drink surrounded by the general gorgeousness that this venue offers. The fabulous Ruth (aka Grand-Poo-Webmaster HAI!) has completed the AMAZING website (TurningFortyIsSuchADrag.com.au - check it) and the whole Cheeky Pup team have done an incredible job in designing the invites and organising them to be sent out. What did I have to do? Well, basically it was to supply the team with everyone's email addresses and mailing addresses, put together a song list and sign off on the artwork. None of which I managed to complete properly. So....your invites are in the mail (late), the song list isn't really the "quintessential sounds of forty years of sassy" but more like "this is the best I can come up with now, here and today". But I think you will still enjoy it all. 

Can't wait to see you all on the night.

Only 29 sleeps to go.....

Hello and welcome to TurningFortyIsSuchADrag, the most fabulous place in the interweb for gossip, news, commentary and random musings loosely associated with Sassy's big Four Oh. We shan't be publishing here the details of where the party is (you'll get those details when the invite arrives in your mailboxes in a week or so's time).
